KRATOM Vs. CBD and Drug Screening.
While we are not medical doctors, and cannot give you medical advice, many customers have called us asking about both Kratom and CBD, and whether they will have issues passing a drug screen. What we do know is that according to the American Kratom Association kratom is NOT an opiate and will NOT cause a positive drug screen for Marajuana – it will be positive for Mitragyna Speciosa, (the scientific name for Kratom) which most employers don’t test for because it is not an opitate.
Some CBD products “claim” they do not contain any THC – these are known as CBD Isolate or Broad Spectrum CBD. While it is true, without THC, you will not fail a drug test, however, there is always the possibility that Full Spectrum CBD products contain trace amounts of THC that may in fact cause you to fail a marijuana drug test. If you are concerned about this, I would definitely refrain from use because it may be next to impossible to remove all traces of THC, which could of course trigger a positive result and wreak unwanted havoc in your life.
